1. What It Is the Referral Programme?
The LPECCUL Referral Programme rewards you for introducing new members and new loan clients to the credit union.
Key features:
• Rewards are paid into your share account at the end of each quarter
• Both previous rewards before December 15th 2025 and new rewards after December 15th 2025 are listed for transparency
• Committee members, staff and business partners are NOT eligible
• Each member can earn up to (12) twelve rewards per calendar year
• Rewards support long term savings growth for every successful referral
2. How It Works?
The referral process is designed to be simple and member-friendly.
Steps to participate:
• Share your name and member number with the individual you have sent for new membership or new loan.
• Your name and member number is logged once the person applies for membership or completes a qualifying loan
• Loan related rewards are confirmed only after the loan is fully disbursed
• This verification window ensures accuracy before rewards are credited
• Reward amounts vary based on whether the referral was made before or after December 15th 2025.
Our new rates are ONLY applicable to referral applications made on or after 15th December 2025.

How are referrals captured?

Why do some rewards take longer to be distributed?
• Loan related rewards can only be paid after the loan is disbursed and Membership rewards can only be paid after the individual has been an eligible member for 3 months.
• This ensures proper verification and prevents errors.
How many rewards can I earn each year?
• Each member may earn up to twelve referral rewards per calendar year.
How do I track my rewards?
• Rewards appear in your shares account once posted and can be viewed in your quarterly statement.
Who is eligible to participate?
• Only members are eligible. Committee members, staff, and business partners cannot participate.
Are old and new reward rates different?
• Yes.
• Referrals submitted before December 15th 2025 follow the original reward structure.
• Referrals submitted after December 15th 2025 follow the new enhanced reward structure.
Does the person I refer need to complete a loan for me to earn something?
• No. You can earn rewards for new memberships and for qualifying loan products.
Terms and Conditions
The LPECCUL Member Referral Programme is designed to reward members for helping the credit union grow through genuine referrals. Participation in the programme constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
1. Eligibility
• Only active members in good standing with LPECCUL are eligible to participate.
• Committee members, staff, service providers, vendors, and business partners are not eligible to receive referral rewards.
• Members must maintain an active account to receive quarterly reward payouts.
• A referring member may earn a maximum of twelve referral rewards per calendar year.
2. Valid Referrals
• A referral is considered valid only when the referred individual enters the referring member’s full name and member number at the time of completing the membership or loan application.
• Late submissions or attempts to add a referrer after an application is submitted will not be accepted.
• Members may not refer themselves, their businesses, or joint accounts they are part of.
• Duplicate referrals for the same individual are not permitted. Only the first referring member listed on the application will qualify.
3. Verification Requirements
• All referrals are subject to a verification process to ensure authenticity and eligibility.
• Membership referrals qualify only after the new member has been active and in good standing for three months.
• Loan referrals qualify only after the loan has been fully disbursed and all eligibility requirements are met.
• LPECCUL reserves the right to conduct additional checks to prevent fraudulent or manufactured referrals.
4. Reward Payments
• Rewards are deposited directly into the referring member’s share account at the end of each quarter.
• Loan-related rewards may take longer depending on the type of loan and the disbursement timeline.
• Reward amounts correspond to the dates of the submitted applications:
• Applications before December 15th 2025 receive the old reward rates.
• Applications on or after December 15th 2025 receive the new enhanced reward rates.
• All rewards are subject to an annual quota based on programme capacity and budget approval.
5. Programme Rules and Limitations
• Members are strictly prohibited from offering financial incentives, gifts, or payments to entice referrals.
• Members cannot misrepresent LPECCUL’s services, rates, or products when referring others.
• Referrals must be genuine and made in good faith.
• Any attempt to manipulate the system, use false information, or exploit loopholes will result in disqualification from the programme and possible account review.
• Rewards cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash at the time of disbursement.
• LPECCUL reserves the right to withhold or reverse rewards if a referral is later deemed invalid or fraudulent.
6. Conflict of Interest
• Individuals in positions of influence (committee members, staff, partner businesses) are excluded to maintain fairness and avoid conflicts.
• Members may not make referrals as part of commercial activity or paid recruitment services.
• Any behaviour that creates a perceived conflict of interest may result in disqualification.
7. Programme Adjustments
• LPECCUL reserves the right to reassess, modify, or discontinue the referral programme at any time, with notice provided on the official website.
• Terms and conditions may be updated as needed to strengthen fairness, compliance, and programme integrity.
• Changes will apply to referrals made after the date of publication.
8. Final Authority
• LPECCUL’s decisions regarding eligibility, verification, reward issuance, and dispute resolution are final.
• The credit union reserves the right to deny any referral reward that does not fully meet the stated requirements.
